Might want to draw something, a look at the consistency Pokemon we have in this format

Hello fellow Pokemon players! I want to show you all the cards that can be used for drawing, or searching.

The Obvious JirachiEX...

The commonly used one.

JirachiEX is very good for getting the supporter you need. The only drawbacks are that if you have a full bench, you can not play it, or your opponent can Lysandre it and OHKO it.

The Swampy One

Now, you will always know (and pick) what is on top of your deck.

This is a basically more balanced Computer Search. As long as your opponent doesn't use N you basically can get what ever you want. The drawback is that it is a Stage 2 and with SeismitoadEX in the format, this card probably won't be played much.

Time to Fly(gon)

Drawing 4 might be bad, but you could also choose your opponent.

Flygon might be a stage 2,but it could get you a fresh new hand, OR disrupt your opponent with a hand of 4. So if you have a very small supporterless hand, you could try to get something good off of Flygon.

The Bomb

Drawing until you have 4 might not be so bad.

If you want a decent stage 1 draw, here's Electrode. If you can burn down your hand to 0 you could draw 4 WITHOUT using your supporter slot. it is fairly easy to get into play because of not using Rare Candy.

The Puff of Life

If you have 3-4 of it out, it is really good.

This is an obviously good card to play. It partners well with so many decks it's not even funny. Slurpuff is really good and can be used to make ANY deck more consistent, just you have to find the space.

So if Garbodor with a tool is in play, then all of these Pokemon are practically useless... Thanks for reading!

Weird deck of the month- Beedrill/Dragalage/Dunsparce

Hello fellow Pokemon players! Evan here and I want to talk about a weird deck idea that came into my mind.

The Allergy Shock

                         It might be allergy season...

I thought that if my opponents Pokemon can't retreat due to Hypnotoxic Lasers poison, then I could Allergy Shock safely. So the pokemon that does damage is Dunsparce and with the flip to not get damaged, it could be amazing. This deck has its flaws and should only be used for fun:

Pokemon-18

3 Weedle PCL 1

3 Kakuna PCL 2

3 Beedrill PCL 3

3 Skrelp FLF 44

2 Dragalge FLF 45

4 Dunsparce BCR 111

Trainers-34

4 Professor juniper

4 N

1 Colress

1 Lysandre

1 Lysandre's trump card

2 VS Seeker

4 Trick Coin

3 Rare Candy

4 Hypnotoxic Laser

3 Ultra Ball

3 Evosoda

3 Roller Skates

2 Bicycle

1 Dowsing Machine

2 Training Center

Energy-8

8 Grass

So this deck is obviously slow and countered by KeldeoEX and switch, but it could be fun.

So, here are my card choices:

3-3-3 Line of Beedrill

There really is no space for a 4-4-4- line so I have to run a 3-3-3.

3-2 Dragalge Line

You only need to get 1 in play and the third Skrelp ensures that you will probably get at least one Dragalge in play.

4 Dunsparce

You essentially need 4 since he is your only attacker that does guranteed damage.

4 Juniper, 4 N, 1 Lysandre, 1 Colress, 1 Lysandre's Trump Card, and 2 VS Seeker

The supporter line is slim because I have 3 roller Skates and 2 Bicycles.

3 Evosoda

It is really good with evolving your pokemon.

4 Trick Coin

If you actually stick with Dunsparce, Trick coin might prevent him from getting KO'ed.

"The Clash is out"- My predictions on the meta-game and my Top 5 odd picks for week 2 of Regionals

Hello fellow Pokemon players! My name is Evan and I want to share my opinions on the open air eta-game!

The Meta-game predictions

Yes, choosing the right deck for the right meta-game is very confusing.

With Primal GroudonEX, Primal KyogreEX, and Mega GardevoirEX decks hyped, the easiest counter to these decks are either VirGen or Brongzong. But those decks both have a common weakness, fire, which lets Pyroar cme into viability. Then if Pyraor is popular you would want to play Primal GroudonEX, Primal KyogreEX, or Mega GardevoirEX decks. Just rinse and repeat. So what I am saying is that this meta-game could be anything really.

Here are some decks to keep in mind: Donphan, Brongzong, VirGen, Yveltal variants, Primal GroudonEX, Primal KyogreEX, Mega GardevoirEX, Mega ManectricEX variants, SeismitoadEX variants, and occasional Pyroar variants. I might have missed a few decks but this should be a good starting point of what the meta-game could be.

So now, without further ado, here are my top 5 deck choices for week 2!

The rogue unexpected plays

5. Flareon and Friends

Might start off with low damage, but as the game goes on it OHKOs.

Flareon is a nice deck when it gets set up. If you don't expect Lysandre's Trump Card to be widely played this may be the deck for you. Here is the list:

Pokemon-24                     Trainers-26                       Energy-10

4 Eevee PLF 90               4 Professor Juniper             6 Psychic

3 Flareon PLF 12             4 N                                    4 Double Colorless

2 Leafeon PLF 11             1 Lysandre

2 Pikachu XY 42               4 VS Seeker

2 Raichu XY 43                 4 Ultra Ball

2 Cubchoo PLS 40            4 Battle Compressor

2 Beartic FFI 22                 2 Float Stone

1 Vulpix LTR 20                 1 Computer Search

1 Ninetales PCL 21             2 Training Center

1 Mr. Mime PLF 47

1 Audino BCR 126

1 Sigilyph LTR 66

1 Kyurem LTR 43

1 JirachiEX PLB 60

Pros:

  •  Can adjust to any meta-game
  •  Good prize trade
  •  Once it gets going it is fairly hard to stop

Cons:

  • Lysandre's Trump Card lessens damage output
  • Low HP attackers
  • Slow to set-up

4. TDK

Blizzard Burn is a big attack for a non-EX attacker.

If you want a classic play for regionals then look no farther. TDK has a lot of bad match-ups, but it also out speeds most decks and stands a chance in this format. Here is the deck:

Pokemon-11                      Trainers-37                    Energy-12

2 ThundurusEX PLF 38     4 Professor Juniper         6 Water

4 DeoxysEX PLF 53         4 N                                 4 Plasma

4 Kyurem PLF 31             3 Colress                         2 Lightning

1 KeldeoEX LTR 45         2 Lysandre

                                         2 VS Seeker

                                         4 Hypnotoxic Laser

                                         3 Switch

                                         3 Muscle Band

                                         2 Float Stone

                                         2 Colress Machine

                                         2 Team Plasma Ball

                                         1 Max Potion

                                         1 Computer Search

                                         2 Virbank City Gym

                                         1 Rough Seas

                                         1 Frozen City

Pros:

  • Very speedy
  • Large damage output

Cons:

  • Bad match-ups with Seismitoad, VirGen, and Pyroar
  • Hit or miss

3. Mega Manectric/ Kyurem

For 2 energy, 110 isn't so bad. Especially when you attach 2 energy to the bench.

If YveltalEX is popular, Mega Manectric would probably be a good play. But, for a partner is an unusual one, Kyurem from PLF. It has perfect synergy. Kyurem gets charged up, and then hits hard. here is the deck:

Pokemon-11                            Trainers-37                                        Energy-12

4 Kyurem PLF 31                    4 Professor Juniper                            8 Water

4 MnanectricEX PHF 23          4 N                                                   4 Double Colorless

3 MManectricEX PHF 24        2 Colress

                                                2 Lysandre

                                                1 Professor Birch's Observations

                                                1 Pokemon Center Lady

                                                2 VS Seeker

                                                3 Manectric Spirit Link

                                                3 Muscle Band

                                                3 Max Potion

                                                3 Switch

                                                3 Ultra Ball

                                                1 Repeat Ball

                                                1 Battle Compressor

                                                1 Computer Search

                                                3 Rough Seas

Pros:

  • Abuse of healing cards
  • Sets up quickly
  • Low energy cost attacks
  • Recycles energy

Cons:

  • Usually 2HKOs Pokemon
  • Has a hard time against decks that heal damage

The EXTREMELY weird and risky play

2. Tool Drop

Trubbish may not be so rubbish.

This risky deck might pay off if the people you play against don't run Startling Megaphone. It also gained Exp. Share back from Primal Clash but Exp. Share isn't as good with Dimension Valley in this format. Here is the deck:

Pokemon-8                 Trainers-44                     Energy-8

4 Trubbish PLS 65      4 Professor Juniper         8 Psychic

3 Sigilyph PLB 41       4 N

1 JirachiEX                 2 Lysandre

                                  1 Lysandre's Trump Card

                                  3 VS Seeker

                                  4 Roller Skates

                                  1 Bicycle

                                  4 Ultra Ball

                                  4 Float Stone

                                  4 Muscle Band

                                  4 Head Ringer

                                  3 Hard Charm

                                  1 Exp. Share

                                  1 Life Dew

                                  4 Dimension Valley

Pros:

  • Flare Tools reduce the impact of Startling Megaphone
  • Is very consistent
  • Great prize trade plus Life Dew
  • Gets tools back with Lysandre's Trump Card

Cons:

  • Startling Megaphone gets rid of ALL your tools
  • SeismitoadEX prevents tools (and other items) from being played
  • Very low HP Pokemon

FINALLY! A normal (and expected) deck!

1. Xerneas/ Aromatisse/ Mega GardevoirEX

A brilliant name for a brilliant attack.

Mega Gardevoir is brilliant in every way. It can literally OHKO ANYTHING in the format (Even without a Muscle Band!). Here is my build:

Pokemon-16                                Trainers-32                        Energy-12

4 Xerneas XY 96                          4 Professor Juniper            12 Fairy

3 Spritzee XY 92                          4 N

3 Aromatisse XY 93                     4 Pokemon Fan Club

2 GardevoirEX PCL 105              2 Lysandre

2 MGardevoirEX PCL 106          1 Colress

2 XerneasEX XY 97                    2 VS Seeker

                                                    4 Max Potion

                                                    2 Gardevoir Spirit Link

                                                    2 Ultra Ball

                                                    1 Evosoda

                                                    1 Startling Megaphone

                                                    1 Dowsing Machine

                                                    4 Fairy Garden

Pros:

  • Can OHKO anything
  • High HP main attacker with Max Potion spam
  • Resistance to Dark

Cons:

  • Has a tough time against Garbodor
  • Brongzong decks OHKO all of your Pokemon
  • Slow to set-up

Rember, this is just my opinion. Thanks for reading!
