"The new 'Gen'eration"- A look at Virizion/ Genesect!

     Hello to all Pokemon fans! Evan here and I want to talk about a deck that has been on the decline and has made a great comeback to the top tables again. The deck is none other then VirizionEX/GenesectEX!!! The deck has a special place in my heart being a good, consistent, and a fun deck to play (Although some people won't agree that it is fun to play.).

The Reasons of its Success

                                           The deck wanted to be heard of in the meta and now it is.

      1. SeismitoadEX decks were heavily played

     V/G was put in the right meta at the right time. It beat many SeismitoadEX decks because of them being played a lot.

    2. Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon decks were starting to gain footing in the meta

     With the Primal Pokemon starting to gain popularity, V/G was able to beat them by OHKOing their Primals with a GenesectEX with a Muscle Band.

   3. Flareon started to lose popularity

     With few Flareon decks being played, V/G didn't have any bad match-ups (Other than the never played Pyroar.). Since it didn't have any auto-losses V/G stood a good chance of making cut.

    4. V/G is very consistent

     Since V/G is very consistent it will usually set-up fast. Also my motto is that consistency wins all.

     The list may look like it has too much energy but I think 11 is the perfect number because if 2 Grass Energy are prized you still have 9 grass Energy (Yeah, yeah, I know, Energy Retrieval and Lysandre's Trump Card.).
