Hello to all readers!!!! Evan here and i apologize for no recent articles lately, I'm getting caught up with states. To day I want to talk about a deck that has been doing very well during Regionals and States in many variations, SeismitoadEX!!!!!!
The Quaking Punch is real and ready for a lock!
Seismitoad/Garbodor
I want to talk about the classic Seismitoad/Garbodor deck first. It is a great combination that locks items and abilities and uses it to great effect. Here's the list (Here's the link: http://sixprizes.com/2015/03/18/lead-the-way-va-top-8-report-the-exemplary-player-and-my-top-three-plays-for-states/):
Pokemon-10 Trainers-40 Energy-10
4 SeismitoadEX FFI 20 4 Professor Juniper 6 Water
3 Trubbish LTR 67 4 N 4 Double Colorless
2 Garbodor LTR 68 3 Lysandre
1 JirachiEX PLB 60 1 Skyla
1 Shadow Triad
1 Xerosic
1 Pokemon Center Lady
4 VS Seeker
4 Ultra Ball
4 Hypnotoxic Laser
4 Float Stone
3 Muscle Band
2 Switch
1 Computer Search
3 Virbank City Gym
Seismitoad/Slurpuff
A pokemon that likes to taste the deck.
ToadPuff is a very good, efficient, AND disruptive deck. It uses Cassius to shuffle back in a damaged SeismitoadEX and promote Slurpuff to draw 2 cards. It also relies on using wacky supporters and energy denial with Head Ringer. Here's my take on the deck (Here's the link: http://sixprizes.com/2015/03/12/the-champions-test-a-pokemon-progress-report-and-top-10-list-for-state-championships/):
Pokemon-10 Trainers-46 Energy-4
3 SeismitoadEX FFI 20 4 Professor Juniper 4 Double Colorless
3 Swirlix PHF 68 3 N
3 Slurpuff PHF 69 2 Lysandre
1 JirachiEX PLB 60 2 Cassius
1 Colress
1 Pokemon Center Lady
1 Team Flare Grunt
1 Lysandre's Trump Card
4 VS Seeker
4 Ultra Ball
4 Hypnotoxic Laser
3 Crushing Hammer
3 Enhanced Hammer
3 Head Ringer
3 Muscle Band
2 Float Stone
2 Switch
1 Computer Search
2 Virbank City Gym
SeismitoadEX/Crobat
Surprise! SeismitoadEX just got stronger with Crobat as his partner.
SeisBats is a pretty cool deck. I like it because it uses multiple Golbats and Crobats to spread damage and to make it easier to knock out opposing pokemon. I personally think this is the best of the big three Seismitoad decks (Sorry SeismitoadEX/Jynx I don't think you're that good!) and here is my list:
Pokemon-16 Trainers-36 Energy-8
4 SeismitoadEX FFI 20 4 Professor Juniper 4 Double Colorless
4 Zubat PLS 53 4 N 4 Water
4 Golbat PHF 32 3 Lysandre
3 Crobat PHF 33 2 Colress
1 JirachiEX PLB 60 1 AZ
3 VS Seeker
4 Ultra Ball
4 Hypnotoxic Laser
3 Muscle Band
3 Super Scoop Up
1 Target Whistle
1 Startling Megaphone
1 Computer Search
2 Virbank City Gym
The list above is really consistent. after 20 games of playtesting (Against different decks. And I won 18 games, the 2 losses were to both VirGen. ) I will go over the card counts and reasons because I made this list from scratch.
4 SeismitoadEX, 4 Zubat, 4 Golbat, 3 Crobat, 1 JirachiEX
I think that is the perfect amount of attacking and damage spreading. The JirachiEX is crucial to the deck's consistency and out of 20 games I needed it 13 times.
3 Lysandre
Some people might think that since there is a lot of damage spread that you only need 1 or 2 Lysandre, not 3. I like 3 because if you snipe a Pokemon on the bench you could Lysandre it up and KO it.
3 Super Scoop Up
Without Super Scoop Up this deck might not be as good. I usually use Super Scoop Up to bring back Golbats and Crobats but I also use it for bringing back up a damaged SeismitoadEX. It also somewhat replaces Switch.
1 Target Whistle
With 3 Lysandre, a 4-4-3 line of Crobat, Muscle Band, AND Hypnotoxic Laser and Virbank City Gym, a Target Whistle on a JirachiEX and getting an OHKO on it shouldn't be that hard.
Well I hope you found some good information on here and thanks for reading!
If you enjoy Magic: The Gathering, then this is the place for you! I mainly play Red, as it is the most affordable and fun color (in my humble opinion). NOTICE: IF THE WEBSITE SAYS IT IS NOT SECURE, PLEASE ADD https:// IN FRONT OF IT.
